Search Engine Bias

Yes, of course there is search engine bias. Not only does Google and Yahoo place higher relevance on aged websites, they are in the marketing business themselves. Go head, do a Google search for the word health. You’ll find that Google health is number one in the sponsored search section of the page. Type in talk. It’s also number one on page one.  Google and Yahoo love each other no matter what any one says. They maintain 90% of the search engine action and are not going to share it with anyone. The major search engines are also marketing firms.

This really leaves the SEO Specialists and their client at a real disadvantage. You both are hoping to penetrate the thick wall of organic page ranking. The only problem that exists is the fact that Google or Yahoo is trying sell the same product in a round about way. This is going to create a larger mountain to climb for SEO Specialists. Will Google allow your promoted web page ranking to increase with optimization and hard work? Who Knows? The facts are these,  do your job and create excellent page content, and page structure. Gather relevant links with a few .edu and .gov mixed in. Keep the directories on your side and co-op some video stuff and all good SEO Specialists will prevail.

Don’t be afraid of the big guys. Your quality of work will be taken into consideration of the major engines. Show them that quality of work is important to you and your stick to it attitude will win the day.  Make sure your clients also know that the people they are shelling out huge amounts of advertising dollars to in regards to adwords are really their competition. SEO Specialists will triumph over big business for their clients no matter how high the mountain or thick the wall.
